a baited hook in the inland lakes and streams
as well as surrounding waters. Pike, Pickerel,
Bass, Perch, Salmon and Walleye are the main species.
Cross Coutry Skiing:
Vast stretches of unmarked snow presents an irresistable
challenge on a bright moonlight night to don a
pair of cross country skiis.
Biking: The
Island, with it's hundred of kilometeres of scenic
and nearly car-free roads, is fast becoming the
destination of choice for numerous bikers from
all over North America and Europe.
Wildlife:
The heavily wooded forest areas privode an excellent
habitat for deer, moose, bear, wolf, fix, lynx
and numerous other smaller animals.
Community Nights:
The skirling of bagpipes and the beating of drums
herald the commencement of the Richard's Landing
Community Night held annually on the last Friday
in July and the Hilton Beach Community Night held
the first Saturday in August.
